Last week we had a doozie of a snowstorm here in the Pacific Northwest. It’s pretty infrequent, but when it does come, it often causes major problems. In this case, the snow was followed immediately by an ice storm, so that made things even more fun! It was even serious enough to close the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (my day job employer) for 3 days! That almost never happens!
It’s funny how the first day or so, it’s so pretty and white, and makes things so quiet and still. Then by day 2, you’re kind of like “yea yea, it’s great and all, but now it’s starting to look not so pretty”. Then into day 3 and beyond, you’re starting to get serious cabin fever! Too much for this Florida girl!
